    Project Polaris

    Students are off on an exciting journey through the vast darkness of space. They join space pods and use estimation and hands-on measurement at each of 10 constellation stopping points. The mission - to build a space station where all convene in a united effort to have peace throughout the Milky Way Galaxy. Constellation math activities focus on length, volume, area, time, and weight measurements. Starbucks are awarded based on how close students' estimates are to actual measurements.

    State Studies: The Visitor's Center

    Students will design a new Lehigh Valley Visitor's Center and create a movie about different attractions in the Lehigh Valley.

    Mysterious Machines 

    Students will solve a mystery involving a unique machine that was found in the workshop of an inventor in the community who recently died. The machine, discovered by the inventor's relatives as they were going through her belongings, incorporates the six simple machines that form the basis for all complex machines. The relatives want to understand what the mysterious machine is and how it might be used. Therefore, the inventor's relatives ask us to become scientists who work on uncovering the mystery surrounding the machine.
