    At the regular meeting of the Board of Education, the Board approved the following:  

    • Matthew Sawarynski as Board Secretary for the term of July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2025, at no additional compensation.
    • Jason Williamson, Assistant Business Administrator, as Board Treasurer for the term of July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022, at no additional compensation.
    • Employee #3824, an unpaid leave of absence for medical reasons beginning April 27, 2021, through April 30, 2021, and an intermittent unpaid leave of absence beginning May 3, 2021, through May 20, 2021.
    • List of Professional Staff transfers for the 2021-2022 school year.
    • Revised job descriptions for the following positions: Natatorium Aide, Healthroom Assistant, and School Nurse, effective May 10, 2021.
    • Revised Master District Volunteer List for the 2020-2021 school year.
    • Resignation of Kimberly Levin from the position of Assistant Principal, effective May 6, 2021.
    • Security Guard and police officer employees to work at the High School, Middle School, and Siegfried Elementary School during the summer of 2021, allowing other guards to substitute, at their regular hourly rate of pay, and if necessary, substitutes at the approved substitute rate of pay.
    • Listing of Summer School Instructors and their reimbursement based on the current Supplemental Reimbursement for Extra Services - Curriculum and Instruction. Effective dates for the program will be June 14, 2021, through July 22, 2021.
    • List of teachers to provide Extended School Year (ESY) and Chapter 15/Section 504 Services for the summer 2021.
    • Samantha Gaydos, TPE Grade 2 Elementary Teacher at Moore Elementary School, effective August 23, 2021. Her salary will be $55,555.00, with benefits, based on a Bachelor’s Degree and Step 1, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA. 
    • Carole Torbinski, Security Officer, effective August 20, 2021. Her salary will be $22.14 per hour, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NASA.
    • Debra Klepeiss, Health Room Aide at the High School, effective August 23, 2021. Her salary will be $17.28 per hour, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and ESPA.
    • Listing of NASD Summer Bridge teachers, nurses, guidance counselors, Technology lead teachers, and instructional assistants and their reimbursement in accordance with the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. Effective dates for the programs will be June 14, 2021, through August 12, 2021.  All salaries will be paid through the ESSR III grant.
    • Erin Sakelaridos, LTS Elementary Teacher at Moore Elementary School, effective August 23, 2021, for the 2021-2022 school year. Her salary will be $58,703.00, with benefits, based on a Master’s Degree and Step 1, funded through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief III (ESSER III)
    • John Toman, LTS Mathematics Teacher at the High School, effective August 23, 2021, for the 2021-2022 school year. His salary will be $55,555.00, with benefits, based on a Bachelor’s Degree and Step 1, funded through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief III (ESSER III) Grant.
    • Morgan Bear, LTS Kindergarten Teacher at Franklin Elementary School, effective August 23, 2021, for the 2021-2022 school year. Her salary will be $56,355.00, with benefits, based on a Bachelor’s +15 Degree and Step 1, funded through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief III (ESSER III) Grant.
    • Sydney Kuronya, LTS Elementary Teacher at George Wolf Elementary School, effective August 23, 2021, for the 2021-2022 school year. Her salary will be $55,555.00, with benefits, based on a Bachelor’s Degree and Step 1.
    • Carley Andrejack, LTS Elementary Grade 1 Teacher at Siegfried Elementary School, effective August 23, 2021, for the 2021-2022 school year, pending receipt of proper documentation. Her salary will be $58,703.00, with benefits, based on a Master’s Degree and Step 1, funded through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief III (ESSER III) Grant.
    • Mary Ann Weaver, LTS Grade 3 Teacher at Siegfried Elementary School, effective August 23, 2021, for the 2021-2022 school year. Her salary will be $55,555.00, with benefits, based on a Bachelor’s Degree and Step 1, funded through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief III (ESSER III) Grant.
    • Shey Marth, TPE Elementary Special Education Teacher at Siegfried Elementary School, effective August 23, 2021. Her salary will be $56,166.00, with benefits, based on a Bachelor’s Degree and Step 2, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between NASD and NAEA.
    • Rachel Laird, LTS Elementary Teacher at Lehigh Elementary School, effective August 23, 2021, for the 2021-2022 school year, pending receipt of proper documentation. Her salary will be $55,555.00, with benefits, based on a Bachelor’s Degree and Step 1, funded through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief III (ESSER III) Grant.
    • 2021-2022 Supply Bids as follows:

    • Appoint the District as Tax Collector for Allen Township, Bath Borough, Chapman Borough, East Allen Township, Lehigh Township, Moore Township, and Northampton Borough to collect real estate and per capita taxes for 2021-2022.
    • Adopt the 2021-2022 Proposed Budget. The Board of Education does approve the 2021-2022 Proposed Budget as follows and authorize Administration to advertise and make the Proposed Budget available for public inspection:

    • Business Administrator to provide written consent on behalf of the School Board for the sale by the Northampton County Tax Claim Bureau the property with parcel H4 8 7-24 0520C for the bid of $300.00 in accordance with the Real Estate Tax Sales Law. The property had previously been offered for sale at a County upset sale and thereafter at a County judicial sale, but was not sold and instead was placed in the County Repository of unsold properties.
    • Continued participation in the IU20 consortium for the purchase of group life insurance with CM Regent Solutions for the period of July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2023 at the following rates:

                       Life = $0.073 per $1,000

                       Accidental Death & Dismemberment = $0.02 per $1,000

                       Long Term Disability = $0.22 per $100

    • Accept the 2021-2022 property tax reduction allocation at $1,473,365.24 to reduce property taxes and set the homestead/farmstead exclusion at the same fixed amount.

    • Settlement of the real estate tax assessment appeal filed in the Court of Common Pleas of Northampton County by the Northampton Area School District against Lehigh Valley Industrial Park Lot 5 Owner LLC for Tax Parcel Number M5 2 16E 0501 located at 951 Willowbrook Road, Allen Township, Northampton County effective for School District tax year beginning July 1, 2021, and pursuant to the Settlement Stipulation, and further approve and authorize the School District’s attorney, Raymond P. Wendolowski, Esquire, to execute the Settlement Stipulation on behalf of the School District.
    • A Deed Fee Simple has been prepared for the purpose of conveying to PennDOT right-of-way areas

    along the east side of Blue Mountain Drive along the frontage of the Lehigh Elementary School project.  The School Board authorized the President of the School Board to sign the Deed pursuant to a Resolution approved on July 13, 2020.  The School Board reconfirms the authority of the President granted under the Resolution to sign the Deed.

    • In accordance with Section 315 of the Public School Code (24 P.S. §3-315), approve the appointment of Jennifer Johnson effective on May 10, 2021, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Mr. Chuck Longacre, whose resignation was accepted by the School Board at its public meeting on April 12, 2021. Jennifer Johnson shall serve for the remainder of Mr. Longacre’s term, which ends on the first Monday of December 2021.
