Mrs. Nicolette Teles is the Home Education Supervisor (including homeschooling and private tutoring) in the Northampton Area School District. Mrs. Teles may be reached via the email and phone number listed above.  Forms and notarized paperwork may be dropped off any time at the Administration Building.  For your convenience, a secure dropbox is available next to the main entrance at the rear of the building.

Home education (homeschooling) is a program where the education of the student is directed by the parent or legal guardian.  Private Tutoring is different from homeschooling in several ways, including the requirement that the tutor must be a PA certified teacher.  Please view these resources to become familiar with home education requirements. The PA Department of Education (PDE) website provides up-to-date and complete information.

Homeschool students residing in Northampton Area School District, who meet all of the requirements stated in Pennsylvania law and NASD Board Policy 137, are now eligible to participate in academic courses and cocurricular activities at Northampton Area Schools as part of their homeschool education. In addition, homeschool students are eligible to enroll at Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School. Please contact Mrs. Teles for more information about the enrollment process and eligibility requirements.
