The Northampton Boys Wrestling Team had a fantastic weekend representing the school at the PIAA Individual State Tournament!Five wrestlers qualified for the prestigious event, and three brought home state hardware.
Huge congratulations to Junior Gabe Ballard and Sophomore Brayden Wenrich, who both captured PIAA State Championships and became the latest Northampton wrestlers to earn the title of best in the state. Gabe dominated his finals match with an 18–4 victory, while Brayden battled to a hard-fought 1–0 win to secure the gold.
Also earning a spot on the podium was Senior Trey Wagner, who finished the tournament with an impressive 7th place finish.
Overall, Northampton finished 3rd in team points at the state tournament — an outstanding accomplishment on the biggest stage.
Congratulations to Coach Provini, his staff, and the entire team for a tremendous season!
