Keegan Hackett, a senior at Northampton Area High School and a welding student at Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School, recently secured first place at the 55th annual American Welding Society (AWS) District 3 welding competition. Big news for the Science Department! Huge congratulations to Ada Barnhorst for her incredible performance in the U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad! Thank you to the Goethe-Institut USA for coordinating a great experience for our NAHS German students on Friday, April 17. They visited the Evonik Chemical Company and Innovation Hub in Trexlertown in the morning to learn about the career opportunities connected to a German company operating in the US. In the afternoon, Evonik sponsored a soccer camp for the students run by two professional soccer trainers from the Borussia Dortmund (BVB) soccer organization.
